This place is the perfect hole in the wall burger joint located in the heart of Greenville. The seating is limited but worth the wait. You can also take the massive burgers and huge portion of fries home if the place has no seating. The burgers are creative! I got one with hot Doritos and elote corn.. so fun. I’ll try it with the fried chicken next time! The parm fries are nice and greasy if you like that! I’ll be coming back. The atmosphere is awesome. You get to see the kitchen and the staff is so friendly. I wouldn’t come here with a huge group! Tables for 2 are the easiest to grab after you order! They have milkshakes which I need to try next time!
The special today… it had jalapeño cream cheese, bacon, fig jelly. The jelly part had me confused when trying to decide what order it but it was delicious. The person taking my order said it balances out the heat and she was right. Highly recommend this burger! Seating is limited here but the food was worth it. The garlic parm fries were also good. The staff was very friendly. Definitely will eat here again in the future
Windy City is the best burger in town! I have been several times. This time I got the Northwood that comes with bacon, fried egg, and pimento cheese. The pimento cheese adds a great element along with the egg. Burger is perfectly cooked on their house made burger buns. The fries are a must have with your meal! Everything made in house. I am a wheelchair user and although the inside of their restaurant isn’t accessible to enter, they were so accommodating. They consistently have a worker going in and out. I was with a friend and they placed my order. I easily pulled up to one of the outdoor tables. The staff constantly checked in, when my order was ready they brought it out, and the owner even came out and made sure I had a great experience. I would recommend for anyone and don’t let the lack of accessibility inside stop you from enjoying the best burger in town outside!
Delicious burger! Tried the Hudson (bacon bbq) and loved the tender seeded bun, not too fluffy. Crispy onion rings and bacon the burger and tasty fries. Wish they had fountain drinks for the full on cheat day meal but other than that food was stellar!
Windy City Burgers earned all five stars and more. The 1/2 lb. burger comes with a fresh baked bun seared in butter. The burger itself is juicy and flavorful. The toppings are very creative. I ordered the Irving which comes with mushrooms, Swiss cheese, grilled onions, Funyons, horseradish and Dijon. I would have preferred the shoestring onions instead, but I get that they added the Funyons for crunch. I couldn’t eat all of a 1/2 pound burger so I got mine in a 1/4 lb size instead & then the $13.95 price included fries and a drink. I’m stuffed!!! The fries are some of the best around. They are hand cut. Someone in another review said they must do magic in the kitchen because the taste is do amazing & I concur. I ordered the plain fries with the kids burger and the garlic parm with the Irving burger. Both were amazing. I’m sure I’ll be dreaming about the fries tonight. The staff were all incredibly friendly and helpful. I patiently counted down the minutes for Windy City Burgers until they opened at 4:30 pm and called in my order right away. Others must have been waiting for them to open as well because when I got there almost all the tables inside were full. I guess the word is getting out that they have the best burgers & fries in town. I tried out their restaurant because I saw someone else’s post on FB bragging about how good it is. They definitely lived up to all the hype. I’ll be back to try some of the other burgers. Flavors are top notch and you can’t beat the prices. The restaurant itself is small. But they also have seating outside. I imagine that they turn tables quickly because customers inhale the food it’s so good.
