Very clean, updated old restaurant. The menu has something for everyone! Food was good and the views were good as well. Overall an iconic place to eat that underwelmed us. Driven by it 20,000 times and now I can say we ate there. Busy for a Monday night. Valet parking was free for first 2.5hrs We were there from 5-7:30 during sunset. Maybe views are more specta6on a warm summer night...
Checked this place out on a Friday night and the vibe was honestly pretty nice. Music wasn't too loud, the drinks were well made, and the food ended up being better than I expected. We shared a couple appetizers and everything came out fresh. Service was cool overall, just a little slow once it got busy, but nothing that ruined the night. It's a good spot if you're trying to grab dinner and hang out for a while instead of rushing through a meal. I'd definitely give it another visit.
We stayed at Hotel Angeleno and ate at West Restaurant and Lounge our entire trip—and it was absolutely outstanding. The food, service, and views were all amazing. We enjoyed breakfast, evening drinks, dinner, and dessert, and every single meal was top-notch. What we loved most was the atmosphere. The restaurant was never crowded, making it the perfect quiet escape from the hustle and bustle of West LA. You can actually enjoy a conversation without raising your voice, which is rare in Los Angeles. The staff went above and beyond to take care of us, making the whole experience even better. We will definitely be back and highly recommend this spot to anyone looking for excellent food, great service, and stunning views.
Took my wife here for dinner specifically for the skyline view and it didn't disappoint. We split the lobster mac and the braised pork and both were genuinely well executed, not just there to look pretty on the plate. Watching the sun go down over the city while eating was a nice touch that made the whole evening feel special. Will be back for happy hour next time.
Good food and service with great views. Overall a nice experience having dinner at West. Tapas style small plates. Some were very small, like the asian wraps, and others were decent size like the meatballs. Service nothing fancy but friendly and prompt. Awesome views of the mountains, ocean, and most of the LA basin. Parking valet cost was validated for 2hrs or less.
