Visited Vasili’s in downtown Naperville for lunch and overall had a really enjoyable experience. The location is definitely one of the highlights — sitting outside overlooking the Riverwalk created such a relaxing atmosphere and made for a perfect lunch spot, especially on a nice day. The vibe was lively but still comfortable enough to enjoy conversation and the scenery. I ordered the tradition Greek gyro plates meal, and it was very flavorful and well prepared. The portions were satisfying, and everything tasted fresh. It wasn’t hot and some meat pieces were in the dryer side. I also tried the espresso martini, which was good and made well — definitely worth ordering if you enjoy espresso cocktails. The service throughout the visit was great. Staff was attentive, friendly, and checked in the right amount without making me feel rushed. You can tell this place stays busy, especially because of the location and outdoor seating, but I came at a great time and the experience felt smooth. Giving 4 stars because while the experience was very good overall, a few small details could have made it exceptional. That said, the atmosphere, Riverwalk view, food, and drinks absolutely make this a spot I would recommend to anyone visiting downtown Naperville or looking for a nice lunch with a great vibe.

This is a very elegant establishment that prioritizes quality over quantity. While the menu is curated and smaller than your typical Mediterranean spot, they clearly stick to what they excel at. There is still plenty of variety for those who already love this cuisine. ​The atmosphere and food quality are definitely on the higher end. If you are new to Mediterranean food, you might want to start somewhere more casual to learn the basics. However, if you are already a fan and looking for a beautiful evening out with a significant other, this is the perfect destination. It’s also an ideal spot for a group of friends to order family-style and share everything on the table. I recommend the Yiayia Penny's Pastitsio and the trio dip

Here for a quick weekend trip to the Naperville area and absolutely fell in love with Vasili’s. We devoured every single dish, but the highlights were definitely the lamb shank and tirokafteri (feta & roasted pepper spread). We left incredibly stuffed. Service by our waiter, Sam, and the other staff was impeccable!!! Sam made our experience by being so attentive & visibly happy to answer any questions we had. So jealous of all the locals that get to enjoy this restaurant year round. An absolute must visit!

We went here for our anniversary dinner and had such a wonderful experience. The atmosphere and food were amazing. I ordered the feta brined chicken and it was incredibly juicy, flavorful, and cooked perfectly … I really enjoyed it. My husband ordered the spread trio and the chicken souvlaki, and both were absolutely delicious! The place is a bit expensive, but honestly the quality of the food, service and overall experience made it worth the price. We had a great time overall, and our waiter Angelo made the experience even better. He was attentive, helpful, and made sure everything was perfect. Highly recommend for a date night or special occasion!

Snagged a riverfront table with no reservation — great food, great service Stopped by Vasili’s Mediterranean Grill on a beautiful night and honestly didn’t expect to get seated outside without a reservation—but they had me at one of the best riverfront tables almost immediately. Huge win. Service was excellent—Dani took great care of me and made the whole experience feel easy and relaxed. Food-wise, everything delivered. The beet salad was fresh and flavorful, and the gyro was outstanding—great portion size too (I’m taking some home). Definitely ask for extra tzatziki sauce…it’s that good. Only small thing to note—if you’re sitting outside by the river, expect a few bugs flying around. Nothing terrible, just part of the setting. Overall, a great experience. Good food, great service, and a perfect spot if you can grab a table outside.
