Stopped here for dessert and a cocktail after dinner. It was the last night of Hidden Forty Speakeasy so beautifully decorated 20s themes. Desserts were delicious, as was my pistachio cocktail. Lovely view of the city and great vibes. Can’t wait to see what their next theme will be
We recently visited Top of the Hyatt and were pleasantly surprised by the current concept — it’s been transformed into a speakeasy-style bar with a 1920s-inspired interior, and the atmosphere is honestly very well done. From what we were told, this themed experience is only running until the end of May, which makes it feel even more special and worth checking out while it’s still here. The location itself is already a highlight — being on the 40th floor, you get a panoramic view of the ocean, the marina, and even the Coronado Bridge. Watching the sunset from up there, especially with the golden reflection on the water, is something that really stays with you. We ordered a few drinks and some light bites — nothing too heavy, but perfect for the setting. It’s the kind of place where you don’t necessarily come for a full meal, but rather to enjoy the view, the ambiance, and good company. Overall, it’s a great spot for a summer evening hangout — relaxed, scenic, and just the right amount of elevated without feeling too formal. Definitely a place we’d come back to again, especially for sunset.
I didn't eat here but food looked delicious. This bar has THE BEST views 360 in town day or night. Opens after 4pm. Free to go up for the view. Full bar service in a 1920's theme decor with ambient lighting. White feathers and white pearls. Romantic speakeasy vibes.
Great experience at Grand Hyatt San Diego. Service and attention from personnel is mostly excellent. Facilities are good as well. It is centric and steps away from good spots to sightseeing and have dinner. The bar is very good and wide place to spent a good drink with friends. Rooms are also very well maintained. Perhaps just suggesting the hotel management to give maintenance to USB charges, those would be their opportunity in the rooms. Everything else (inside shops, restaurant, meals, meeting rooms, etc.) is very good
We were in town for a week for a golf trip and we only went to the Top of the Hyatt for a couple of drinks and to see the view. The staff were very welcoming, the drinks were top notch and the bartender's presentation was the highest level. Then the view was absolutely outstanding! Unfortunately we got sidetracked earlier in the day so we did not make it in time for sunset, but the view of the night-time city skyline was unparalleled.
