We recently had a Storm Smart Roll Down Screen installed on our lanai. The entire process was flawless. Donna Smith came to our house and provided us with screen color options, trim options and provided excellent information for our screen. The gentleman who came out and measured and the crew who came to install were excellent. They did the job right the first time and cleaned up after. They also spent time showing us how to operate our screen. The install was way ahead of schedule and we couldn’t be happier. Donna came back to check everything and provided additional info on caring for our screen. We would highly recommend this Storm Smart location for any work you want done.
We initially made contact with Storm Smart thru Home Depot. Donna from Storm Smart contacted us shortly thereafter and we quickly had an appointment to go over costs, colors and the process for a roll down storm screen. Donna is such a delight, we just absolutely love her! She answered all our questions and laid out the process thoroughly. And the process was a breeze! They took care of everything! Including permitting! All we had to do was pay. The installation process was professional and finished within the day. Stephen was our point of contact and he kept us informed throughout the day as we had appointments away from our home. We were unable to be here when they finished up but Stephen called and gave us easy instructions for operation and care. And it works flawlessly. We love it! The follow-up from Donna was an added bonus and just showed us that superior customer service is amazingly still alive and well. Thank you Donna, Stephen and Storm Smart!
We had a storm screen put in today. Its started with great customer service with Derek the sales rep..Well it only got better we had Terry and Bailey as our installers and let me tell you they both were amazing, superior knowledge on installing and personable. We so enjoyed every bit of them and storm smart from day 1 Best part of hiring someone is having the best installation thank you Terry and Bailey
Storm Smart installed 4 windows and a lanai screen in my home. One of the window frames has cracked. We have never even opened this window. This company does not back it's workmanship or product. They want to charge a service call fee to look at the cracked window and if it is in need of replacement they will charge me labor by the hour. The won't even come here unless I pay for the service call in advance. I do not think a window frame is intended to last only 3 years. Shame on Storm Smart. Also, I asked for a call back from a supervisor which I never got and had to follow up myself. It it abundantly clear they take great pleasure in telling you the warranty is for 1 year. They must have conducted a study to see how long it takes for the product to break. STAY AWAY!
Storm Smart customer service is as dismal as the reviews suggest. Buying the hurricane screens and installing them was the easy part of the process but unfortunately the people who complain about getting their screens repaired are correct. I have called almost everyday for the last week. This is a warranty situation so no money to be made and apparently Storm Smart has no interest in standing behind its product. One of my screens is stuck and it is impossible to get it repaired. It is repairable and probably easily so, but they just don’t respond. When you call in, they can’t give you an appointment because the product is under warranty. They tell you the installer will call you. When that doesn’t happen they tell you they reported it to his supervisor who doesn’t call you. When you ask to speak to a supervisor it goes to voicemail and no one returns your call. So buyer beware. They sell a great product or so they say. Mine broke just before the 1 year mark. I’ll be happy to update this review if the repair is ever completed. UPDATE: After my negative review, I did hear from a technician. He was prompt and thorough. He explained the issue and told me what the repair would consist of. He came back and repaired the screen and provided some additional service. By the end, I was satisfied with his work.
