This place has to be my new favorite spot. My bf and I stayed at the hotel attached to it. we got happy hour here our first day 10/10 the mai tai was strong and well balanced and don’t even get me started on the happy hour American burger my bf ate 2 that’s how good it was. Our last day here we got brunch and I’m going to dream of the French toast with pecans and pistachios it’s a must try!!! Cappuccino was a 10/10 And we got their traditional breakfast and it was delicious and perfectly cooked. I’m not one to make reviews so this place was a hit.
This place truly offers wonderful service - attentive, warm, and genuinely welcoming. The atmosphere is lovely and makes you feel taken care of from the moment you arrive. However, the food was quite average. The risotto was overcooked in my opinion, the burger was fairly ordinary, and the $17 chocolate mousse of the day was unfortunately underwhelming and lacked flavor. That said, the REGAL 75 cocktail is the best “75” I have ever had - absolutely exceptional. We wouldn’t return specifically for the food, but we would definitely come back for the cocktails. I highly recommend visiting for a drink, especially on the rooftop. The season opens in April, and the view over all of San Diego is truly breathtaking.
I stayed on the hotel connected to this diner for 6 nights. Due to my stay, I was able to taste some dishes from breakfast (omelette /french toast with bacon & hash brown on the side) and dinner( onion soup /toasted chicken with mash potato on the side-the plate includes the side, the Parisian burger). All was good, the staff was really attentive and kind. The atmosphere was one of my favorite things. My favorite table is near the windows, really nice. The food is a good amount, maybe for some people the chicken might need more season or salt and in regard to the Parisian burger it might be too messy for some.
I came here on a whim while staying for a few days on vacation. The Croque Madame may be the best bite of food I’ve had in my life. It was salty and the bread was crispy, the egg was perfect. Even the salad on the side was delicious. The latte was beautifully made. This was an overall excellent experience.
I had the potato pave' and steak and eggs from thier Mother's Day from their pre fixe menu. Everything was delicious, however my steak was a bit chewy. But the bordelaise sauce was made up for it. For cocktails we had a Siesta and the Bergamot Spritz. Our waiter and host very friendly and welcoming. If looking for a unique restaurant, add this to your list.
