Mara is an awesome stylist. I’ve wanted to grow my hair out a little. Was able to go six weeks between cuts and still look great. She listens, makes suggestions based on hair behavior. Super pleasant to chat with. Love this salon and stylist!

I just want to share how appreciative I am of Maggie! After years of having my sister do my hair (she is a hair stylist in NC), I took a chance in booking an appointment at Michael Thomas salon for a root touchup and trim. Maggie was an assigned to me as my stylist and the rest is history! I just went back for third time, this time for the works- a full balayage, root touch up and cut. Maggie was so patient and ensured that every detail was perfect. She took such great care of me and my hair and every strand is actually perfect. I’ve never hair such shiny, healthy, and beautiful hair until Maggie started doing it. As an added bonus, I even won the December raffle and was awarded with incredible products, including a new hair dryer, Kerastase and Redken products and accessories. I am so grateful I walked through that door. I love my new hair color and old money cut! Thank you, Maggie! You are the best!!!

Christina is a truly amazing stylist and colorist. She gave me the most incredible haircut the best ever! Her color was hands down the best I have ever had with highlights and low lights. It is hard to get on her schedule but worth waiting for!!! I had to wait 8 weeks!!! Cecile

I thought long and hard about leaving this review but in the end, I have decided to go ahead. I have been going off and into both locations for near 25 years. In 2019 I went back after being gone for five or more years without naming the stylist I later on find out that he was more than just an employee of the Salon. He was amazing then 2020 happened and I could not find him. I went to other places than I went to a stylist on Pineridge Rd. She was good, but then kept on giving me a haircut that I specifically asked not to do. I left and came back to her. She then left to seek another career. I went back to the airport location to an old stylist once again he just was not listening to me what I wanted February 28 2026 was the last time I will ever come to Michael Thomas. This was a stylist. I literally told her not to give me The Brady Bunch Mother haircut where the top layer Is Cut shorter and the bottom is left longer creating this bowl like look with a Tail I am done? I am so frustrated and upset that I have to go into the summer growing this cut out. I have paid $135. I have paid $85. I have paid $75 all plus gratuities and I’ve wasted my money over and over again. Fortunately, I have found the stylist from 2019 and he is now working with me to repair my hair style I needed to leave this review because I don’t want anybody else to keep on giving a chance giving a chance and meanwhile not being heard and or listened to and paying good money at the same time.

Fabulous! I had done a lot of research before deciding on Michael Thomas Salon. I booked with the owner, Christina, and she is fabulous in every way. She gave me the most comprehensive consultation I’ve ever had with a stylist. The haircut I received was exactly what I envisioned. I already booked a highlight appointment with her! So glad I found this salon!!
