Sandra R is awesome! My hair has never looked as great as it does now. So healthy and color and cut is perfection! Sandra C gives the best skin treatments. My skin always looks wonderful after her treatments. Everyone in the salon is the best. So glad I found this salon. Beautiful souls.

The studio is beautiful, welcoming, and truly professional. The attention to detail. And level of care are second to none. If I could give this place zero stars, I would. I strongly advise staying away—it was one of the most unprofessional experiences I’ve ever had. I’ve lived in this neighborhood for 35 years, and it’s incredibly disappointing to see how much this establishment has contributed to lowering the standard of 5th Avenue . I had both an online email confirmations and multiple text confirmations for my appointment today, yet when I arrived, the owner Sandra rudely insisted it was scheduled for a later date. While that was indeed a second appointment I had booked, I also clearly had one set for today with several confirmations. To make matters worse, the dark haired elderly woman owner Sandra claimed someone had called me to cancel today’s appointment—which was completely untrue. When I explained to her I never received any such call, the situation escalated instead of being resolved. She became angry and defensive, foaming at the mouth, accused me of being disrespectful, and viciously told me to get out. The encounter ended with her violently slamming the door so hard the lock fell off. This woman is the owner and her name is Sandra and this is how she behaves in front of her employees. When I walked in, I also witnessed another woman arguing with staff over an appointment mix-up. The owner was just as confrontational and rude with her. During my own interaction, people from other rooms were yelling at me which made an already uncomfortable situation feel chaotic and hostile. The entire experience was abusive, with owner Sandra and staff showing a complete lack of respect toward customers. The level of rudeness, disorganization, and unprofessional conduct was completely unacceptable. I will never return. I honestly don’t understand how this place has such positive reviews—it seems likely they are being written by friends and family.

I have been coming to MBS hair salon & spa for over twenty-five years. Sandra C. has styled & colored my hair over these many years. She is a kind person and an awesome stylist. I always come away from my appointment feeling like a million dollars. She is respectful, responsible and always willing to accommodate everyone she services. Sandra takes personal pride in making her clients look amazing. I wouldn’t be coming here all these years if that wasn’t the case. Along with being an awesome stylist she is a great cook and we share recipes during our many sessions!

First time coming here, I’ve been searching for a salon that does Keratin on my thick coarse hair. I’m glad that I was able to locate MBS. Yanely did an amazing job on my hair, I left there feeling very satisfied with the outcome. Many thanks you have a customer for life 😊
