Beautiful spot to experience black culture in LA. The DJ was amazing playing all of the throwback and afrobeats hits. Was such a vibe here! Unfortunately lines were long and not much seating area.
So I show up at Lost for my friend's birthday party wearing dress shorts, a dress shirt, and dress shoes. The security guard told me that shorts were not allowed and that I must wear pants to enter. I say OK, and I run around to the nearest store. I purchased a pair of pants to join the party upon return. Security approved my pants, and they began to let me in. I noticed a young lady coming in with shorts on. They happen to be jeans and shorts. She’s wearing a tank top and flip-flops. I asked Security what is the difference between my shorts and hers he said women’s shorts are different I said oh OK went upstairs jeans shorts all over the place even yoga shorts, men were wearing sweatpants sneakers, baggy holy jeans to say the least. I was very disappointed and uncomfortable in my unplanned wardrobe. I don’t think I’ll be back here again.
Upscale rooftop lounge in Downtown LA. Very relaxed atmosphere. Good music with a diverse flavor. Afrocentric overtones. Read the Dress code. Lots of parking right across the street.
First time visiting establishment and I'll give you my honest review. Got there around 930 and was pretty empty, but around 1030 it started to get more packed. Service was slow as we ordered a second round of drinks and it took over 30 min for our drinks to cone. However a manager came over and introduced himself and acknowledged the long wait and apologized, along with a comp. We really appreciated this gesture and will return because of this. Great atmosphere and potential for longevity once they work out the few kinks. Hats off to the new manager and staff for making things right.
What a vibe. Had a great time this past Saturday for a friend’s birthday party. I’m not a person who cares for dark clubs, close talkers, feet stompers etc. So, this was a vibe I could get into. With the backdrop of the gorgeous downtown views, the crisp air coupled with heated lamps.. The night had wonderful vibes. The drinks were excellent as well as the staff … The conversations, mixed generational crowd was amazing. I love places where there is variety and diversity. Having food and drinks onsite without the hassle of booking a table etc. was well thought out. This will definitely stay on the list of venues I can go for a nice night out.
