Located in the Westin. I believe the red tower as there are 4 towers in the Westin to go up on. There is no hostess at the desk; it’s like they only come when they hear the elevator ding. Food was okay but we both came home and had huge stomach aches and you know the rest. Upon seating, took a bit for them to come. You do get bread which comes with a raisin bread too. My husband asked for medium well and he got it more on the rare side. The macaroni and cheese was a bit too cheesy in flavor. The cheese was very very strong and it masked the other flavors. Creamed spinach was good too; it was a light cream. They did give us a little cake which was sweet. Views can be good depending if they don’t seat you in front of a pillar. Maybe you can make that note when making a reservation. They do have light music playing in the background Primarily a steakhouse menu so it’s a single paged menu
Took my family here for my daughter's 38 birthday and it was terrific! Rafael was our server and he was off the Chain awesome! Orellio was the busboy abd he was also outstanding! Norma who was off that day stopped by to give my granddaughter a present! These folks are like Family and I love going here!
11-30-2025 LA Prime is amazing. The views, service, atmosphere, and staff are fantastic. The food is so delicious and fresh. HOT STARTER I had the traditional escargot in shell with maître d’hôtel butter. The butter flavor is so delicious. It is butter mixed with finely chopped parsley, lemon juice, and garlic. I love escargot, and many high-end restaurants in Los Angeles don’t serve it. So when I saw LA Prime, I was like, " Oh man, I am getting that and I’m glad I did. Signature Steaks For the signature steaks, I got the 10-ounce filet mignon au poivre, brandy peppercorn sauce. I got it rare. Omg that was so delicious. The steak is so tender it melts in your mouth. The au poivre sauce was tasty. It adds flavors to the steak. It is made with crushed peppercorns, cream, and brandy, adding a bold and spicy kick to your dish. Sides For the sides, I got almost everything. The crispy Brussels sprouts with sage, hazelnuts, preserved lemon, and Parmesan. The Yukon gold-loaded mashed potatoes, smoked bacon, cheddar, and callions. The baby spinach in Parmesan cream sauce. The macaroni and Vermont white cheddar cheese au gratin, and the farm-fresh asparagus spears with Hollandaise sauce. Dessert I got the crème brûlée. It was so rich and creamy. The caramelized sugar on top was so good. You can actually crack it. It was delicious. Drinks They have a lot of drink options. They have a wide variety of wines.
Fantastic steak. The ceasar salad was fantastic!! Good selection of wine. Great views. Decor could use a little update.
I eat gluten free, and was disappointed that they didn't have a gluten free bread option available. I have been to many restaurants that have that as an option. It's always awkward when you're the only one at the table not enjoying the bread basket and you're just sitting there with nothing. I would love for gluten free bread to be an option I have even paid for fresh gluten free bread at a restaurant. The food we had was wonderful and our waitress was very knowledgeable about the menu and she was very kind. Overall a good experience to have with my family.
