I recently had the pleasure of playing at Ke'alohi Par 3 Golf Course, and I can't recommend it enough! The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming, making the experience even more enjoyable. The course itself is well taken care of, beautifully maintained with smooth greens that make for a fantastic round of golf. Plus, the prices are unbeatable! If you're looking for a great place to play, this is definitely it. Five stars all the way!

Ke'alohi Golf Course holds a distinction that belongs to no other golf facility in the state of Hawaii: it is the only course in the islands—military or civilian—where you can play under the lights at night, every single day of the week. Located at Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam on McClelland Street, Ke'alohi is a 9-hole par-3 layout built in 1965. The course plays to 1,435 yards with a par of 27, a rating of 35.5, and a slope of 113—compact by design, and intentionally so. The format makes it accessible to beginners finding their footing, efficient for experienced players working on their short game, and practical for service members whose schedules don't always align with sunrise tee times. The lights stay on until nearly 10 PM, which changes the calculus for anyone stationed at JBPHH. A round after duty hours, without rushing, without competing for space with resort tourists—that is a quality of life detail worth documenting. Ke'alohi also offers FootGolf on the same layout, a weekly Jack & Jill Scramble on Monday evenings open to couples and singles, and an on-site lounge called the 10th Puka for food and drinks after the round. The course can support organized command functions for up to 72 players, giving it a social infrastructure that goes beyond casual rounds. Access is reserved for military personnel, DoD civilians, and their guests. Family members of DoD civilian employees and service-connected veterans are welcome when escorted by an eligible patron. Really enjoyed taking my son here. Perfect 9 hole course for beginners and novice. Staff is great, but they don’t serve food. I recommend bringing snacks or pack something if you’re planning on going 18. Additionally, if you’re expecting a quicker pace, this might not be the place to go. Majority of the people here walks. It is a short course, but it’s also a PAR 3 so keep in mind, you would have to wait for them to completely get off the green.

I enjoy this par 3 course. I am just learning how to golf really, and it's a good place to start. Costs are reasonable, and they have equipment rentals as well. I especially like that they have night golf, since I work in Waikiki and by the time I get off and home, most coarses are closed. Final tee time is at 8 pm. They have a nice putting green and a chipping green to get a pretty all-around practice or warm up in before your round. They have a kickball golf course built in as well, so you can bring your little ones for that experience! There is a small bar there as well. Hole 9 is by far their longest hole, which is almost as long as a par 4 (seems that way to me). All in all, I highly recommend this course for those with base access.

***This review is specific to the advertised “night-lit”. ***Night golf can be super fun however, half the lights do not even work. We were unable to play three holes due to none of the lights working. We actually had to use our cellphone light to tee off on a couple holes. This course has potential to be fun at night if the lights were properly working.
