My experience at the Kaimuki Waialae YMCA this morning was amazing. I came in as a guest and was treated with the aloha spirit right from the beginning with Trey and Renee. The space was clean, welcoming and all staff were friendly and helpful. The atmosphere was just right and I had a great workout there. Will be back!

As a fit senior, I appreciate the variety of group classes. Yoga is a favourite and the two instructors Ayayko and Cristina, are wonderful. 1:1 Training with Bryan has been great. I am motivated to build strength with practical goals. The staff and the members are welcoming and friendly. For all these reasons, this Y gets 5 stars.

Morning Aqua aerobics 8:00am. Bully central! Old ladies owning areas in the pool. God forbid you stand in the cliques area. Three old ladies will harass you then start kicking you under water if you do not get out of "their" space.

The new director, Ee Soo Paik, is excellent and has significantly improved the facilities and staff. She deserves to be recognized for her dedication and intelligence. She has earned the right to receive a bonus or raise.

Now that I'm retired, I have no excuses that I have no time to exercise. I went to Kaimuki YMCA and I love it. The staff is so friendly and inviting to this newbie. I initially thought I would do online classes but I met instructor, Yoli, who teaches Silver & Fit, or as she refers to it as Silver & FUN. She has the most infectious warm personality and you can't help but enjoy her class. Didn't think getting healthy would be so FUN. The only problem is you have to sign up 48 hours before the next class. Her class fills up fast in the morning so twice I was placed on a waitlist. I wish the YMCA would add another class with Yoli. I highly recommend Silver & Fit classes for all levels of fitness.
