Samantha, Desiree, and Mary Jane have all been so helpful when my mom unexpectedly passed away. They have helped get the paperwork in order, directed me to what needed to be done, explained EFF and got her military discharge papers. Samantha in particular has been incredibly understanding and patient while things had to get in order, as it was somewhat last minute tasks taking time to get completed I wasn’t prepared for. On top of all this I’m just glad that if anyone has similar issues we had to navigate, Samantha will have what we I went through with their help to use. Thanks again for helping me bury my mother.
We are very thankful for the relationships we have made at Graceland. Sometimes, it is hard to transition under new ownership. Although she had only been there for 3 weeks, Samantha Wilgosz went out of her way to make sure we had everything completed correctly. She and her team did a wonderful job preparing the chapel and the service was absolutely beautiful. Samantha was extremely helpful the day of the funeral. She kept everyone on task and made sure we all knew where to be. Thank you for your guidance, professionalism, and compassion, while helping us through a very difficult time. This team is going to be very successful because they care about their clients, and it shows!
Audrey is the best! I almost wanted to take her home with us (not trying to be creepy but keeping it real). She felt like part of the family! When my sister passed we didn’t know what to do and somehow this amazing person made such a difficult thing feel uncomplicated. I’m a hard person to please and I am always with my little notepad asking 101 questions but she always gave me a professional response with a smile. I never felt like I couldn’t ask her anything. I also wanna give a shout out to Britney for writing the obituary and meeting us at the Crematorium. If you’re looking for a funeral home this is it!
Michael was amazing to work with – he was very kind and patiently explained everything. In fact, when I initially called, he had just left the office for a long weekend. He turned around, went back to the office, and helped coordinate arrangements. My father was a veteran, and Michael was very knowledgeable on what was needed for a military burial. We had used a higher priced mortuary when my in-laws passed away, since they had pre-purchased their final arrangements. The service we received from Graceland was equal, if not better, and far exceeded expectations. I highly recommend them!
It’s hard losing someone close to you so having someone to help with arrangements doesn’t take the pain or sadness away but it does help. The service was beautiful and it honored the family. There’s one thing I’ve never heard of that this group did was tell the spouse that the arrangements were paid for and the family had a credit. How do you have a credit at a funeral home/ mortuary? How are you supposed to spend that? They kept asking if there’s anything else the family wanted to purchase. How in your heart can you tell the family who is grieving and trying to get back on their feet after a loss “ you don’t have a balance but you have a credit?” So you all know you will NOT get the remaining back, instead they will try to sale you more stuff. Everything is a business I guess nowadays. It was sad to hear and even sadder to see the family get kicked while they are down ever more. I’m pretty sure they can use the money at home. If you use Graceland Mortuary and people are helping you with funeral expenses DO NOT let them give the money to Graceland because if everything is paid for and you have a “credit” as they call it … they will keep it!
