Doreen’s Cup of Joe in Marco Island was such a great breakfast spot and easily one of the cutest restaurants we visited during our trip. The menu selection is huge, so there’s truly something for everyone, and everything we ordered was fresh, flavorful, and came out quickly. The service was fast and friendly, which made the whole experience even better. I absolutely loved the crunchy French toast — it was delicious and unlike anything I’ve had before. My daughter ordered an omelette and said it was amazing as well. Between the welcoming atmosphere, tasty food, and quick service, it’s easy to see why this place is so popular. We’ll definitely be coming back the next time we’re in Marco Island!
Con: They won't split checks at the same table. (Not they can't, they choose not to). The staff doesn't check on you terribly often once the food comes. A large milk is the cost of two gallons of milk. Pro: Everything is delicious and the portions are gigantic. The porch area is beautiful and the theming is farmhouse chic. Love this place and will absolutely be back. We ate here twice in four days because it was so good!
This place gets very busy. The wait can be well over an hour. We ate her several times during our visit and try quite a few menu items. The Doreen crunchy French toast was really good. The Mexican skillet was fresh and delicious with perfectly cooked eggs. Eggs Benedict was also pretty good. The omelette is flavorful and very good as well. The steak and eggs were just okay. The breakfast nacho was interesting and very good. Breakfast burrito is also a good item to get.
Great food, Great location - the outside seating area was perfect, and increased in size since our last visit (2017) The food options are soft on and the staff very attentive - especially with the coffee!! Not there cheapest breakfast, but worth a visit or a monthly treat!! Will be back!
Unfortunately we gave this place a try and wish we didn’t. There are plenty of options on the menu for sure. And the gluten free options are terrible here. The gluten free French toast was so gross I couldn’t even finish it. $6 for 3 pieces of bacon? Service was mid. Definitely wish we would’ve picked a different breakfast spot to try for our first time in Marco island. Ridiculously priced food and the service didn’t even make up for it.
